Sosai for briefing a designer
Every project briefed the same way.
You commission design a few times a year, and rarely twice with the same person. Nobody expects you to know what a lettermark is, or what a rebrand should cost. Sosai asks in plain language, reads what you already have, and hands you a brief a professional can actually quote against.
Free to use, PDF included. Pro is $29 a month, for sending it out under your own name.
How a form asks
Preferred logo typology? (wordmark / lettermark / pictorial / emblem)
Which of these feels closest to your brand?
Pictures instead of terminology. Sosai writes the professional term into the brief. Nobody has to know what a lettermark is to order one.
Today
Every project starts from a blank message and whatever you remember to mention. Four quotes come back that are impossible to compare, and three weeks in it turns out they understood something else. The revisions are billed to you.
With Sosai
Every project starts from the same set of questions, in your own words and your own colours. You send the same brief to all four, they quote against the same facts, and the next project starts where this one left off.
Start with what you have
Your own website is most of the answer.
Paste the link. Sosai reads the page, measures the colours you actually use and picks up the words you already say about yourself. Most of the brief is filled in before you type anything.
Add whatever else is lying around: a PDF, screenshots of things you liked, the message you started writing and gave up on. None of it needs to be tidy.

Six questions left. Those are the ones Saya asks.
When you get stuck
You are allowed to not know the answer.
Some questions are genuinely hard. What is the one thing this has to say? What tone? On those, press Help me, Saya and talk it through in a few sentences. It asks what you would be asked in a good kickoff meeting.
It proposes wording. You decide whether that is what you meant. Nothing is written into your brief unless you press the button.

What is the one thing this has to say?
What do people say about you after they have worked with you once?
no idea really. that we deliver faster than the others i guess
That is the thing, then. Faster is a claim everyone makes, so we should say what makes it true for you.
Suggested answer
Everything ships from stock in Switzerland, so an order placed on Monday is used on Tuesday. Speed is the promise; the warehouse is the reason it holds.
Use this answerSaya proposes. Nothing reaches the brief until you press the button.
What you send out
A document, so the quotes are comparable.
Goals, audience, scope, budget, timeline, and the things to avoid, in the order a designer reads them. Your own words are quoted verbatim in a section Sosai is never allowed to rewrite.
Send it as a link or as a PDF, to one designer or to five. When someone quotes low because they misunderstood the scope, you both have the same page to look at. And the next brief is the same document with a different project in it, so the people you work with recognise it.
The same document either way. On Pro it carries your logo, your colour and your own domain; on the free plan it carries the Sosai mark. It stays online until you withdraw it.
39 formats
Read one before you write one.
You do not have to know what a designer needs to hear. Pick the thing you actually want made, answer what is asked, and this is the document that comes out.
Saya is AI. It works for you, not instead of you.
We are not going to pretend otherwise. Saya reads what your client sent, asks what is still missing, and talks a question through when someone gets stuck on it. That is the whole job. Here is what it will not do, and these are commitments, not preferences.
It does not design.
No generated logos, no generated layouts, no generated images. Sosai produces a brief. The design is your work, and it stays your work.
It does not talk to your client without you.
You decide when a briefing link goes out and you can withdraw it again. Nothing is sent on your behalf.
It never invents a fact.
Colours are measured off the page. Text is read, not imagined. Where the model infers something, the field says so until you confirm it.
It says when it cannot read something.
A scanned PDF with no text layer gets reported as unreadable rather than guessed at. We would rather tell you than fill a gap with fiction.
Where it stops
What Sosai cannot do for you.
Every tool has an edge. Ours is easier to trust if you know where it runs out, so here it is.
A scanned PDF stays unread.
Without a text layer there is nothing to read. Sosai says so and asks you to paste the key points instead of inventing them.
A login wall stops the crawler.
If the page is behind a cookie gate or a sign-in, we report it as unreadable rather than briefing you on a consent banner.
A stock theme fools the palette.
Some sites declare a full rainbow in CSS that appears nowhere on the page. When the measured colours look like a template default, Sosai flags it for you to correct.
It does not know your client.
Sosai reads what was submitted. Everything you know from the phone call is still yours to add, and every field is editable.

We set out to build the most thorough creative briefing engine there is.
Not the fastest to a page of text. Plenty of tools do that, and most of them are free, because generating text is no longer difficult.
We wanted the one that actually reads what your client sent, measures what can be measured, and admits the rest. Whether we managed it is not ours to say.
Judge it by the first briefing you make. It takes about five minutes.
