Jandi hands out cards at fairs, supplier meetings and to shops weighing up their curated boxes, so this card needs to do the job of a first handshake: warm, tactile and unmistakably Jandi. The brief replaces a generic template with a design built around the brand's playful, organic identity, on a paper stock people will want to write on.
Overview & Goals
- Replace the current generic template with a card that reads as unmistakably Jandi
- Equip six team members with personalised cards for fairs, supplier meetings and shop visits
- Produce a generic card that works for anyone who picks it up off the stand
- Keep the back genuinely usable for handwritten notes taken on the spot
Budget & Timeline
Print ready files are due within three weeks of kickoff, leaving enough runway for the uncoated stock to be sourced, embossed and delivered ahead of the October fair.

In the client's own words
We are a small team and we hand out cards at fairs, at supplier meetings and to the shops that want to stock our boxes. What we have now was made in a template. Since our whole argument is putting the phone down for an afternoon, handing someone a piece of paper instead of a QR code is not an accident, it is the point. Six named cards plus a generic one for the stand. German.
Scope & Deliverables
- Front and back business card design
- Six personalised versions, one per team member
- One generic version for stand handouts
- Print ready files with emboss and stock specification
- Paper stock recommendation suited to ballpoint handwriting
Do's & Don'ts
Do
- Keep phone number and email on the side read first
- Make the generic card work for anyone who picks it up
- Choose an uncoated stock with texture, not a smooth digital board
- Leave clear space on the back for a handwritten note
Don't
- No QR code, Jandi is the brand that argues against them
- No stock so dark that handwriting on the back disappears
- No smooth coated finish that fights the emboss
- No new palette, the current colors stay
