Jandi box reels

Jandi's unboxing content already outperforms everything else the brand posts, so this project turns that instinct into a proper system: eight box openings shot with one consistent setup, cut for both paid and organic feeds. The result should read as a single confident series, not eight separate ads, while letting each box's contents be the star.

Overview & Goals

  • Prove out a repeatable unboxing format that works as both paid ads and organic posts
  • Give each of the eight boxes its own hero video while keeping a unified series look
  • Hook viewers in the first second with the act of opening, before they can scroll past
  • Deliver a flexible cutdown set that covers feed, story and pre-roll placements from one shoot

Production runs across two shoot days in August using a single table, light and camera position to cover all eight boxes efficiently. Editing, subtitling and the full cutdown pass follow immediately after, with every format and clean version delivered by 10 September.

In the client's own words

The unboxing videos are the only thing on our channels that reliably works, and we shoot them on a phone on the packing table. We want a proper set of eight short vertical videos, one per box, that we can run as ads as well as organic posts. They should not look like advertising and they should not have a presenter. The box, two hands, a table, and whatever is inside. German subtitles, no voice-over.

Scope & Deliverables

  • Hero unboxing cuts, one per box, sized for feed placement
  • Story-length cutdowns for each box
  • Ultra-short pre-roll bumpers for paid placement
  • Burned-in German subtitle versions for sound-off viewing
  • Clean subtitle-free masters for future reuse and localisation
  • Full export set across vertical, square and portrait aspect ratios
  • Licensed music bed selection and clearance

Do's & Don'ts

Do

  • Open something in the very first second, that is the whole hook
  • Shoot one consistent setup that covers all eight boxes without rebuilding between them
  • Let the contents of each box stay clearly visible, even in the fastest cuts
  • Keep the eight videos feeling like one series through lighting, framing and pacing

Don't

  • Do not add a presenter or on-camera host
  • Do not use a voice-over, the subtitles carry the story
  • Do not cut so fast that the actual contents get lost
  • Do not let any single box's edit drift from the shared visual system
