Sosai explainer film

Sosai turns a link and a few notes into a structured creative brief, and this film exists to prove that in ninety seconds flat. The audience is studios sizing up the tool, so the video has to replace a live demo: same clarity, same pace, none of the fatigue. It should feel like watching the product think, not like watching an ad about the product.

Overview & Goals

  • Show the full loop, link in, brief out, clearly enough that a skeptical studio gets it without narration filling gaps
  • Make the waiting and reasoning steps feel deliberate rather than slow, so patience reads as intelligence
  • Produce a film that survives being watched with the sound off, since most first views will be silent
  • Build cutdowns that work as standalone proof, not just trimmed versions of the long cut

Budget & Timeline

Budget$20,000
TimelineLive January

Script development takes the first three weeks. Animation follows across six weeks, working from the current interface with screen segments built to be swapped later without reworking the surrounding sequence. The finished film, along with its social and ad cuts, launches alongside the January relaunch.

Target Audience

Studios evaluating Sosai before committing time to it. They are busy, mildly skeptical of another SaaS pitch, and more convinced by seeing the interface do the work than by being told it works.

In the client's own words

Explaining what the tool does takes us four minutes in a conversation and we lose people in the first one. The idea is simple once you see it: a client sends a link and a few notes, the tool reads the site, works out what it already knows, and only asks what is still missing. Then a structured brief comes out. We want a film that shows that sequence, sits at the top of the site, and can be sent to a studio that is deciding whether to try it. We have the product, so there is something real to film.

Scope & Deliverables

  • Ninety second master explainer film
  • Thirty second social cutdown
  • Fifteen second ad cutdown
  • Delivery in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1
  • Burned in subtitles for social cuts
  • Silent viewing pass to confirm visual clarity without sound
  • Modular screen sequences built for future re-render as the interface evolves

Do's & Don'ts

Do

  • Show the real interface throughout, the product is the proof, not a metaphor for it
  • Let the pace stay slow and let silence sit where the tool is thinking
  • Design every screen shot so it can be re-rendered later without touching the cut around it
  • Make the social and ad cuts feel complete on their own, not just shortened

Don't

  • Do not narrate what is already visible on screen
  • Do not open with a problem montage of stressed people at desks
  • Do not rush the pacing to fit the runtime, cut the middle before cutting the pause
  • Do not lean on an upbeat, typical SaaS narrator voice
