House of Goods needs a pitch deck that proves, on the page, the same institutional discipline it applies to its portfolio brands. This is a one-off Keynote deck for a CHF 4 million raise, built to replace two years of patched-together slides with a single, disciplined visual system that reads as fluent on a laptop PDF as it does in the room.
Overview & Goals
- Replace inconsistent fonts and chart styles with one disciplined system across the full deck
- Make the portfolio numbers the argument by giving every chart the same visual grammar
- Build a deck that survives being read cold, without the founders present to narrate it
- Position House of Goods as a studio that runs itself with the same rigor it asks investors to fund
Budget & Timeline
The full engagement runs as one continuous build rather than staged phases, given the fixed date. Design work starts immediately on the existing rough outline, with the chart system and slide grammar locked early since every other slide depends on them, then the main fourteen slides and the appendix are built in parallel so the document is complete and PDF ready ahead of the first meeting.
Deck & delivery
- Purpose
- Investor pitch
- Length
- Fourteen slides in the main deck plus an appendix of about ten. It has to survive being read without us in the room, which is how half of it gets seen.
- One-off or template
- One-off deck
- Tool
- Keynote
- Content
- Rough outline exists
- The ask
- A CHF 4 million round to take three portfolio brands from validated to scaling, at a pre-money we will state on the second to last slide.
Target Audience
Private investors and family offices evaluating a CHF 4 million round. They read fast, skim first, and decide whether to keep reading based on whether the first few slides look like discipline or improvisation.

In the client's own words
We raise from a small circle of private investors and family offices, and the deck we use was assembled slide by slide over two years. It is thirty-one slides, three fonts and two different chart styles. We are going out again in the autumn and we would rather walk in with something that looks like the discipline we claim to run the portfolio with. The numbers and the story are ours to write, the structure and the look are the job here.
Scope & Deliverables
- Fourteen slide main pitch deck in Keynote
- Appendix of roughly ten slides, designed as a real extension of the document, not leftovers
- One unified chart style applied consistently across every data slide
- Full deck built and formatted for clean PDF export and offline reading
- Single master file, no live-only builds or transitions
Do's & Don'ts
Do
- Design one chart style and apply it everywhere, since the portfolio numbers carry the argument
- Make every slide fully readable as a standalone PDF on a laptop
- Treat the appendix as a real part of the document, with its own design discipline
- Keep the existing color palette exactly as is
Don't
- Do not use any build or transition that only works when presented live
- Do not put more than one idea on a slide
- Do not let the appendix read as a dump of leftover slides
- Do not introduce new fonts or chart styles beyond the one system
